Harold ‘Babe’ Zats

Dec. 06, 1924 - Nov. 24, 2015

Harold “Babe” Zats, age 90, of St. Paul, Minnesota passed away November 24, 2015. Babe and his wife Betty first fell in love with Aspen in 1955. They returned each year with their children Terry, Barbara and Julie. They loved skiing in the winter and going to the Aspen Music Festival in the summer. We are all very grateful that they would spend Babe’s last summer in Aspen. They were ambassadors for the Aspen Music Festival for 20 years. Babe was a World War II veteran and served in Italy. His passions included his family, traveling the world, playing baseball, and being a jazz drummer. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to The Aspen Music Festival, http://www.aspen musicfestival.com.
