Frances ‘Fran’ Walsh

Frances “Fran” Walsh passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 14, 2016 after a brief illness. She was 90 years old. Fran is survived by her husband of nearly 70 years, Richard “Dick” Walsh, three children, five grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

After retirement, Dick and Fran moved to Snowmass Village where they lived for approximately 20 years. They enjoyed hiking, snowshoeing, the outdoor lifestyle and found their happiest place on earth. One of Fran’s favorite places was Fanny Hill, where she spent many hours enjoying the outdoors with her friends. After leaving Snowmass, they spent several years in Chicago, IL and then moved to Minneapolis, MN to be close to family. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her. In lieu of flowers, please donate to an educational institution in her name.
