You could have died!
Dear Editor:
I am writing this letter to the cyclist who came out of the Cattle Creek area on Thursday, May 10, at approximately 2:30 p.m., barreling across both the downvalley and upvalley lanes of Highway 82 and nearly collided with my car, which was traveling upvalley.
Are you crazy? Do you realize how close you came to being a splat on the highway? Thank goodness I saw you out of the corner of my eye and instinctively began to brake, because had I braked a second later, you’d probably be hooked up to life support right about now and all your fancy-schmancy riding gear would not have saved you from your utter recklessness.
Were you in that much of a hurry that you chose to come flying in front of my car like that? We’re both lucky that I’m not one who talks on her cell phone while driving and was not distracted.
Damn: You could’ve ruined two lives today.
