Wreck victims in good condition

Three visitors from Florida injured Thursday when their truck hit a bus were all listed in good condition Friday.Driver James Seay, 57, and his two passengers, Rex McPherson, 53, and Willard Frederick, 71, were injured when their rented Dodge Durango slid out of control Thursday morning on Maroon Creek Road and slammed into a skier shuttle traveling the other direction.No one was on the bus but the driver, who was not seriously injured.According to Ginny Dyche of Aspen Valley Hospital, Seay and McPherson are still at AVH, but Frederick has been transferred to another hospital for treatment of his injuries.An Aspen police officer said Frederick was thrown under the dashboard of the sport utility vehicle by the force of the impact and then wedged in when the rear-seat passenger, McPherson, flew forward and collapsed the passenger seat on top of Frederick.None of the three was wearing a seat belt, according to the Aspen Police Department.Seay was ticketed for driving too fast for conditions.
