Would Bush clones volunteer?

Dear Editor:Coloradoans should give a nod to Rep. Diana DeGette. The Denver Democrat teamed up with Republican Michael Castle, a Republican from Delaware, to create and promote a bill to urge on some very important biology in the area of cell research. This research has huge implications for the treatment of numerous diseases. The two lawmakers and many helpers and interested parties patiently worked on the bill for four years and just got it passed in the House with bipartisan support. The right wing is opposed to this bill. If it should pass the Senate, the president has already said he would veto the bill. What is he thinking? All he needs to do is clone himself and “he,” actually one of his clones, could succeed for the presidency – over and over again. And, of course, Karl Rove right along with him. He could just be getting warmed up. How about more Rush Limbaughs as well?A friend said it could be like a “Star Wars” movie with a clone army of George Bushes. He could go to war by himself, so to speak. But then, would the clones volunteer?Patrick HunterCarbondale
