Worthy causes to support
Dear Editor:
So many things are happening both in these beautiful United States and outside of them.
One thing that’s really stood out to me has been the earthquakes in Japan and New Zealand. In order to help the victims of these two disasters there will be a benefit concert May 6 starting at 7:30 p.m. at Roaring Fork High School in Carbondale with performers including Bobby Mason, Derek Brown, Defiance Stringband and several talented students from up and down the valley.
All proceeds for the concert will go to Japan and New Zealand and the money raised from the silent auction and a bake sale will benefit the recent tornado victims in the south.
It would be greatly appreciated if you could use your voice as the editor to help spread the word to the community so we can all come together and help these wonderful nations who need our help now more than ever.
