Working on a second wind

Dear Editor:Mr. Mick McQuilton (“Random Thoughts,” The Aspen Times, May 19), thank you for your public thoughts and my mention in your recent letter to the editor.Daily I read Roaring Fork Valley newspapers’ content, and if they had published my letter about oil and gas industry profits, then you and others would have had more enlightenment and motivation. The Front Range of Colorado has much of my attention as “Fortuna” has me daily interacting with thousands of people and thousands of potential Aspen tourists (if the Aspen Skiing Co. put some moola in my hands to fatten my financial position). However, Skico fat cats would rather give millions of our U.S. dollars to foreign workers to fatten foreign bank accounts abroad.More recently I made contact with a 1970s Colorado girlfriend who is a mountain girl: Leadville, Basalt, Rifle, Silt, Glenwood Springs and Aspen. Ergo, from the Denver metropolitan area she sends her long distant regards to those in the Roaring Fork Valley and the I-70 corridor. This Colorado Rocky Mountain girl’s name in Debra Vetter. Later she became Debra Vetter Vigil.Mr. McQuilton, I am working on getting my second wind as I pass some of my time at Denver art galleries and with some of the Denver theater crowd as I digest more research material to enrich my life.Emzy Veazy III, Esq.Aspen and Burbank
