Words of praise
Dear Editor:
We wish to acknowledge the outstanding work that Pastor Jim Tarr and his congregation from Christ Community Church accomplished in both producing and hosting the first All Valley Worship Service at the Carbondale Rodeo Arena last evening.
The nine-piece band and singers representing several churches were exquisite! Once again we’re reminded of the wonderful talent that we have in our valley. The attendance was terrific as nearly 200 people filled the bleachers. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect for us to belt out our favorite praise songs and to offer prayers. We covered the Roaring Fork Valley with prayers.
As with our National Day of Prayer in May, this event, too, was our first such gathering. There will be more to come. Please either watch for future announcements, or even better, come join us in any of the local churches. You will find, as I did many years ago, that great people hang out at the church. And please know, with any of our events, you will indeed depart with a strong sense of hope, joy and peace.
