Woody Creek Tavern sells for $2 million

WOODY CREEK Shep and Mary Harris signed on the dotted line Friday, granting ownership of the Woody Creek Tavern to Kevin Willson and Laura Wren for $2 million.The Harrises, representing W.C. Tavern Inc. and Harris Family Investments LLC, sold the property to Willson and Wren, who had been running the business since 1987.Willson and Wren, who also own the Wienerstube restaurants in Aspen and Basalt, recorded a deed of trust for $2 million, listing Leonard “Boogie” Weinglass, owner of Boogie’s Diner in Aspen, as beneficiary.
