Women’s biking camps set in Fruita

FRUITA, Colo. ” Aspen-based Sun Dog Athletics is offering a series of women’s mountain biking camps this spring in Fruita. The camps will be offered on weekends through April and May.

Instruction will focus on the ” nuts and bolts” of mountain biking, providing an opportunity for participants to improve climbing, descending and handling skills in a safe, fun and supportive environment, all while taking advantage of singletrack in both the Kokopelli and Bookcliff areas.

Sessions run from 9 a. m. to noon and are designed for women who have ridden some singletrack and wish to substantially improve their performance, confidence, safety and level of enjoyment.

Camps are limited to six women and priced at $80 for one day and $130 for both days. Private lessons are available at local rates, per request.
