Woman sues Aspen Skiing Co over chairlift accident
A New Jersey woman is suing Aspen Skiing Co. over injuries she suffered from a chairlift incident at Snowmass Ski Area.
Carol Dennis filed a suit Friday in the U.S. District Court of Denver.
Dennis, the suit says, was waiting in line at the Village Express Lift on Dec. 5. As she stood in the pick-up area, the lift “abruptly stopped” and the chair in front of her swung backward and hit her, the suit says.
“As a direct result, plaintiff fell and suffered severe harms and losses,” said the suit, which did not provide specifics about her injuries.
The suit asks that Skico pay for Dennis’ past and current medical treatment related to her injuries as well as reimburse her for lost wages, mental anguish, physical disfigurement and other damages.
The suit was filed by the Denver-based Zinda Law Group. Skico declined comment.
