GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. ” A 59-year-old woman now faces a careless driving citation after her vehicle crashed through the front windows of a Grand Junction shoe store.

The accident happened a little before noon Sunday at a Payless Shoe Source.

Police say the woman was trying to park her Toyota in front of the store when she pressed down on the gas pedal instead of the break.

The car crashed through the windows and stopped inside the store.

The woman was treated and later released from a Grand Junction hospital. No one inside the business was hurt.

No damage estimate was immediately available, but the store is not expected to reopen until Tuesday morning.

The woman’s name has not been released.
