Aspen, CO Colorado

ASPEN – A winter weather advisory goes into effect Wednesday night in western Colorado, but forecasters expect areas in the southwest to get most of the snow. Forecasts for Aspen vary from predicting a few inches of fresh snow to very little.

The snow is expected to spread to the Front Range on Thursday, bringing heavy snow to the Eastern Plains.

The weather service is calling for 2 to 4 inches of snow Thursday in Aspen and possibly another 1 to 2 inches Thursday night. The chance of snow diminishes Friday and sunny skies dominate the forecast starting Saturday, the agency said.

The bloggers at are calling for possible snow off and on Thursday and Thursday night, but caution that it’s possible the storm will be a bust for local slopes.
