Wills the choice for DA

Aspen Times writer

Dear Editor:I encourage voting for Lawson Wills for district attorney in the upcoming primary on Tuesday, Aug. 10. If the 10th is too busy a day, please get out and vote early at the courthouse between Aug. 26. Why elect Wills? If you want a hard-working, efficiently run district attorney’s office, vote for Wills. By Colleen Truden’s own admission (Valley Journal, July 22), she sees herself as an administrator primarily, passing on the hard work of prosecution to her staff. It appears she’ll have to do this by necessity since she lacks criminal and prosecutorial experience. Why should the taxpayers foot the bill for another fat cat? We need an experienced person who is willing to roll up their sleeves and do the work needed, not just run around managing employees and “overseeing the organizational framework of the office” (Valley Journal, July 22). If you want to leave office management to the office manager, and leave prosecution in the hands of a prosecutor, vote for Wills. Wills is a fair, efficient, exceptionally experienced prosecutor, evidenced by a 14-year track record. Thank you, Christina ChapinNew Castle
