Wildfest set for Saturday in Woody Creek

WOODY CREEK – The Wilderness Workshop will present the inaugural Wildfest on Saturday at the Flying Dog Ranch in Woody Creek. The event, which runs from 5 to 10 p.m., will feature live music, dancing, entertainment and dinner.

Headlining the musical lineup is Colorado honky-tonk band Halden Wofford and the Hi-Beams. Also performing are Acoustic Mayhem and Pastor Mustard, with contra dancing to the music of Slidewhistle. Jammin’ Jim’s Juggling will give a children’s-oriented performance.

Admission includes a dinner of local, grass-fed beef burgers and brats, with a vegetarian option.

Admission is $15 for Wilderness Workshop members, $25 for nonmembers, and free for kids 12 and younger. Prices are $5 higher at the door. Advance tickets are available at http://www.wildernessworkshop.org.

Volunteers earn free admission. To volunteer, call Melanie at 970-963-3977, ext. 13, or email melanie@wildernessowrkshop.org.

The Flying Dog Ranch is three miles up Woody Creek Road. Free parking is available, but attendees are encouraged to carpool. All those carpooling or biking to Wildfest will be entered into a drawing for prizes.
