Wilderness Picnic thanks

Dear Editor:

The Wilderness Workshop would like to thank all the many volunteers who helped make our fifth annual Wilderness Picnic a wonderful success.

Thanks, first of all, to Heart of the Rockies ” Twirp Anderson, Cash Cashman, John Sommers and Randy Utterback ” for providing the perfect musical accompaniment to an old-time community gathering at the edge of the Collegiate Peaks Wilderness.

Thanks, too, to Nina Schnipper for providing free massages; Danny Aronson for barbecue mastery; Jim Ward and Charlie Hopton for ferrying supplies; Travis Moore, Aron Ralston, Owen McHaney, Kerek Swanson and Taru Soilikki for awesome help setting up; Lindsey Wilkinson for leading kids’ activities; and last, but not least, Peter Looram for pulling it all together.

Finally, we thank our members, old and new, for joining us in celebrating the wild places and wildlands that it is our privilege to protect.
