Why change a winner?

Dear Editor:Frequently we hear people saying that the authentic, personal, unique and original parts of Aspen are leaving us. Jon Busch’s contributions probably fall under that description: whether it is his fantastic selections of movies, or his sometimes quaint personal announcements and reviews on stage beforehand. Why then change this asset? What is the Wheeler board thinking? Do they want larger offseason audiences? Well, so would the Isis, but it’s offseason. Do they want more mainstream movies? Again. Movieland and the Isis cover that ground ad nauseam. Is it that the Wheeler director wants Jon’s gig? Possibly.Jon does us proud. The present Wheeler movie program inspires and engages our minds and hearts. I say leave well enough alone.Michael BehrendtAspen
