Who times these lights?

Dear Editor:I’m writing this letter on behalf of my friends who have to use Cemetery Lane to drive to town. I like using the back road to go up and downvalley, so I can definitely sympathize with these impatient commuters. What’s up with a traffic light that keeps you idling, polluting the air and wasting fuel for two minutes then, if everyone’s paying attention, allows three cars to pass onto Highway 82 toward town before the fourth car has to start all over again. If there’s any kind of line and you are unable to sneak up to go under the bridge, you’re better off going back to Woody Creek. How much would it cost to bring someone out from Iowa to study this truly annoying and lopsided situation?Do the powers at be who time these lights drive around at all? Does this seem normal to them? I’ll bet you one thing – I’ll bet you none of them live on Cemetery Lane.Don DixonAspen
