Wheres the compassion?
Yesterday morning, I overheard two women talking about a yellow Lab/golden retriever mix (with a red collar) getting hit on Highway 6 & 24 between Silt and Rifle. The driver in a black pickup truck never even slowed down nor, God forbid, stopped to attend to the injured dog. Unfortunately, the dog did not survive the accident. Is this the (holiday) spirit and compassion we humans are heading toward? Merry Christmas!Mary SmithGlenwood Springs
