Where was life’s joy?

That was a very well-written story of what Tina Staley and Barbara Stirling are achieving with their hospice program at Aspen Valley Hospital. Instead of feeling good after reading Eben Harrell’s words, I felt sad.

What Tina and Barbara are giving their patients is a positive outlook. It used to be that you had to be dying to receive help from hospice. With Tina and Barbara’s approach, you receive assistance in living life in the moment, to the fullest.

I felt death in the words, not the joy of living though you are ill. My wife Jeanie Renchard’s last year was made into a positive experience because of the love she received and shared from Tina and Barbara.
