Where is the love?

Dear Editor:

This spring, when the tickets for the Dalai Lama came available, I called to get one. I was shocked to find out the tickets started at $1,000 and up.

I thought for sure it would be free or a donation of my choice since “His Holiness” preaches love and that material objects are the root of all evil. I assumed it was not about “profit” but spreading the word of love and kindness to all. What a slap in the face. Once again words are just words. It’s all about money! I am disillusioned.
