Wheeler is the place to be

Dear Editor:

I am writing this letter to let everyone know about two outstanding events coming to the Wheeler.

The first is this Friday night, with Pastor Mustard (Dan Sadowsky) and his bad-ass swing band. Tickets are $15, and it is quite a show. The music is great, and the Wheeler clears out some dancing space in front of the stage. There are some amazing dancers who come up from Denver that add to the show, but everyone is encouraged to join in. This is a really cool show that is good for your soul; I encourage everyone in the valley to go – it just might remind you of why we live here.

The other show coming up is the Rooftop Comedy shows next week. If you liked the HBO Comedy Festival, and a lot of people would have liked to been able to see more, the four-day lineup is that level of talent. I have a first-hand experience and knowledge of this art as my father, Ron Maranian – the Armenian comedian – has been a stand-up comic for 35 years.

The tickets are ridiculously cheap. All of the nights are filled with performers you know already and some who you will say “I saw them when …” This is a great Wheeler booking, world-renowned talent, and priced for locals!

See you at the Wheeler.
