What’s in a bowl?

Dear Editor:

Highland Bowl or Highlands Bowl – it really doesn’t matter, as it is but a thimble of the terrain available to ski in your region.

Lo Semple, I too am amazed at the Marolt rant, but at least I vomited (“Amazed by Marolt rant,” Jan. 28, Letters, The Aspen Times). I have gotten to watch him ski the bowl, as well, and it was all I could do to finish my locally grown cookie before I had to turn away and just be with the prayer flags. But I always digress.

I am the new local. I have been known to pick rocks out there in the bowl. Unfortunately, there is nowhere to throw them, so I collect ’em and will mail them to Roger when the satchel gets full. In the meantime, I applaud your bringing to the people the level of clown-hood this man has reached – and much of it done by his ability to use his silver spoon as a tongue depressor.

Way to go, Lo. Just don’t go too low down to Marolt’s level. Leave that to us, please. There’s enough dirt on him to fill that bowl. You focus on the real issues, and keep up the good work.

Roger’s exercises in humility won’t come until he can look back and prove that he was born in that barn. I want to see the birth certificate!
