What if?

Aspen Times writer

Dear Editor:

This is a fictional poem, with no connection to any existing city, town or country.

What If?

What if a beautiful mind becomes wild

and the wild becomes famous?

What if it is all a joke

and no one ever laughed?

What if the truth can be simple

but no one understands?

What if there is a woman

and no one knows she’s a man?

What if everybody is afraid

and no one tells the truth?

Who cares?

Carpe diem!
