What blarney
Apparently Michael O’Sullivan feels that Tony Hershey needs someone to defend him, but I suspect that it was Tony who wrote that response to my letter because Tony is very adept at bringing up totally irrelevant ideas to distract people from the issue at hand.
It would appear that Michael O’Sullivan has kissed the Blarney Stone because he is full of flattery for his pal Tony Hershey.
OK, boys, whether or not there is bus noise at the corner of Aspen and Durant has absolutely nothing to do with what qualities we want in our council members. Shame on you, Michael, for allowing yourself to stoop so low.
Whether or not I supported the trolley issue six months ago also has absolutely nothing to do with what qualities we want in our council members. Shame on you again, Michael, for allowing yourself to stoop so low. It does not become you.
The truth is that my letter was not an attack on Tony Hershey, as you indicate, but purely an observation of (irresponsible and erratic) behavior, as perceived by a great number of people.
Michael, if Tony’s campaign platform is that he is a “voice of reason,” as you indicate, then Tony needs a new campaign manager, because the citizens of Aspen will not be duped into believing this nonsense.
Your flattery of Tony is not deserved, so I will assume that you have kissed the Blarney Stone and it is your nature to flatter. And a fine one it is, too; but it’s better to flatter where it is deserved.
