What about Brian?

Dear Editor:Where’s the love? And dedication to local reporting? Your coverage of the 24 Hours of Sunlight, held on Feb. 5, was OK … but nowhere near complete. What about our local athlete, Brian Johnson – a Carbondale resident and Aspen Highlands ski patroller?Brian was the third place winner in the men’s solo class. Not only is he a dad and full-time patroller, but he doesn’t have sponsorships … unlike the top two competitors in the men’s solo class that have support from top companies such as G3, Scarpa and Leki. So I say … Congratulations, Brian! And thanks to the Denver Post for the freelance article by Alison Berkley covering Brian Johnson’s success and his support team of Aspen Highlands ski patrollers.Stephanie DasaroAspen
