What a show!
Dear Editor:Sunday’s matinee was my first exposure to the brilliant work of Aspen Community Theatre, and I congratulate each contributor to the wonderful production of “Fiddler on the Roof.” In particular, my wife Mary and I were so impressed by the beautiful, technically amazing set and scene design by R. Thomas Ward. Lighting by Loren Wilder and sound design by Arman Christoff Boyles set many moods and allowed each performer to be seen and heard whether whispering, singing or bellowing.Kathleen Albert’s believable, functional costumes made each scene a painting, while Steve Myers’ stage management flowed silently and swiftly, thanks to cast and crew on a darkened stage. Finally, property mistresses Lisbeth Oden and Diane Wallace made certain that each bucket, packet of cheese and hat contributed unobtrusively to the scene and to the story. Thanks and kudos to the producers, director, orchestra, stage crew and cast. What a show!Clifford FewelSnowmass
