What a shame

Dear Editor:In addition to high marks for creeping materialism, one has to give KDNK management credit for nerve. Having changed to an all commercial format with ads every 15 minutes (more ads than music lately), they’re still asking people to donate money. It’s like watching one of those “Star Wars” Jeddi mind-control episodes: “Those aren’t ads, we’re just thanking our underwriters.” “Oh, that’s right, we aren’t listening to ads, they’re just thanking their underwriters.” As if people who use their money to corrupt what used to be called Public Radio deserve to be thanked.I feel sad for all the volunteers who love music and give up their time to share it with the public, who now have to spend half their donated time shilling for business interests. Shame.Richard GordonAspen
