We’re in this together
Rich Wontor’s letter of Jan. 26 starts off beautifully with “Fellow Americans,” then decays into a sniveling debasement of our current administration’s arrival. Mr. Wontor, you have totally missed the point of our electing Barack Obama president. As he repeatedly said on the campaign trail and in his first few days in office, this is not about him, it’s about us, all of us, including you who apparently do not want to contribute. Just because “your” side didn’t win doesn’t mean it is OK to sit back and watch, complaining when things are not going “your” way.
Step up and be a real American by putting your energies into positivity for our country. It is not about sides anymore, it is about joining forces to effect a better country. The time is now.
