We’ll remember the bookstore
Editor’s note: This letter was originally addressed to Town Center Booksellers in Basalt.
Dear Editor:
On behalf of all the members and Board of Directors of Basalt Regional Heritage Society, I want to thank you for the years of continued support to our nonprofit organization. By providing your store as a purchasing center and with the assistance of your sales staff, our annual historical building ornament sales each Christmas season was successful. Everyone in the valley loved to stop by, share tales and enjoy the friendly hospitality.
Your business has been an excellent community member, donating and providing a much needed service to the citizens from youth to retirement ages. What a wonderful opportunity you provided for youth through employment, Fred. The gorgeous building will continue to be the cornerstone of Basalt.
We are sorry about your departure, but the years of positive community interaction will always be remembered. Thank you, Fred, Tracy, Clay and all your friendly employees.
Janice Duroux
president, Basalt Regional Heritage Society
