Watershed meeting set in Redstone

REDSTONE – The Roaring Fork Conservancy will hold the second of five public meetings on Roaring Fork watershed issues in Redstone on Thursday.
The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Church at Redstone. It will focus on water resources in the Crystal River Valley and include topics like low water flows on Coal Creek and the status of a old proposal for the Placita Dam.
The Roaring Fork Conservancy is working on a Roaring Fork Watershed Plan – an inventory of water quantity and quality issues and an action plan for the future. More information can be found at http://www.roaringfork.org/watershedplan. Five meetings are being held to focus on subsections of the watershed. The Aspen meeting will be held Oct. 15.
