Watch Week Aspen, the burgeoning horology event set against the breathtaking backdrop of Aspen, returns for its sophomore installment from Aug. 7–10, according to a press release.
An emblem of collaborative spirit among watch enthusiasts, the four-day celebration promises an immersive experience that bridges high‑end craftsmanship with the beauty of the Rocky Mountains.
This year’s roster features a compelling lineup of esteemed maisons and independent ateliers. Among those confirmed are German stalwarts A. Lange & Söhne and Glashütte Original, British heritage brands Bremont and Arnold & Son, Swiss icons IWC and Zenith, and avant-garde innovators like HMoser & Cie, Moritz Grossmann, Gerald Charles, and Norqain, alongside local purveyors Meridian Jewelers and Oliver Smith Jeweler.
Each Maison and atelier brings its distinctive legacy — whether through intricate complications, rugged chronometer-certified pieces, or bold design statements — the collective will create a diverse watchmaking landscape in Aspen’s downtown core.
Program highlights include the return of the popular Speaker Series, featuring industry thought‑leaders discussing current trends in collecting and manufacturing. Adventure meets horology on Friday, Aug. 8, as Bremont hosts explorer and filmmaker Jimmy Chin for a guided morning hike culminating in a breakfast engagement and a preview of Bremont’s latest range.
That same afternoon, A. Lange & Söhne and IWC will invite guests into private boutique settings for exclusive showcases led by key figures, including Charles Langlois, president of Lange Americas.
The weekend continues with a social flourish: Arnold & Son and other brands will host cocktail receptions, followed Saturday morning by a pickleball session with Norqain and two‑time Olympian Alex Ferreira at Aspen Meadows Resort. Exhibitions and interactive events will run across local boutiques and partner venues, underscoring the event’s dual nature as both an intimate connoisseur gathering and a celebration of Aspen’s outdoor allure.
Watch Week Aspen encourages all participants to register in advance, as attendance for curated events is complimentary but limited. With its keen emphasis on craftsmanship, community, and Colorado’s alpine elegance, this year’s edition promises to deepen its roots in the watch calendar— a nd in the hearts of collectors and casual admirers alike.

Aspen ponders tax proposals
Council met on Monday to discuss the proposed tax increases. If all three parties succeed in getting their taxes placed on the November ballot and levied, it would increase Aspen sales tax from its current 9.3% to 10.35%.
