Dear Editor:Although it is somewhat past for this year, I would like to make another suggestion with regards to your editorial of May 14, 2004: “Big Lawns, poor water policies …”Encourage residents to plant trees, bushes, and plants that are drought-resistant. Doing so will assist in reducing water usage. Furthermore, discourage people from planting lawns, especially in the high country. If one needs a lawn move to Denver. Or farther east.Colorado, whether you like to admit it or not, is a high desert environment, and should be treated as such.James C. HessLoveland
