Wait for the trial

There was a picture of a young girl with “Kobe is innocent” across her forehead and on her shirt printed in some of the papers. Our form of jurisprudence says that one is innocent until proven guilty.

So I am mostly OK with her statement, except that the trial to prove him has yet to be held. If I were raped, I would not care to have this young girl as a juror. If I were her parent, I would explain to her that just because Kobe is a great basketball player, that doesn’t necessarily mean that she should put her trust in him.

Support him? Yes, if she feels that is what she must do. But to find him innocent before all the facts are known to a jury of peers? No!
