Vote yes on 4A

Dear Editor:The Basalt Regional Library needs a helping hand from all voters in the library district to pass ballot item 4A. The ballot item calls for a small tax increase – about $36 a year on a house with an assessed value of $400,000.It provides a rich reward in new books, DVD, CD and talking book media, new and more computers and needed repairs to the existing facility. It will also allow the library to keep its doors open six days a week. Both sides in last year’s controversial library election have buried the hatchet. We are working together to pass 4A – first and foremost to improve the operations of the existing library. Please vote yes on 4A, the first library funding increase in 24 years. A good library is a community asset.Bernie GrauerLaunch the LibraryCampaign Committee
