Vote yes for bus lanes

Dear Editor:On May 8, Aspen residents will have a chance to vote to add a bus lane between Buttermilk and the Roundabout.Adding the bus lane will:• Cut the bus ride by 15 minutes each way• Ease congestion for car traffic• Allow four lanes on the Maroon Creek Bridge instead of twoIf we don’t put the bus lanes on the bridge during construction, it will cost taxpayers an extra $500,000 to install them later. This measure will not change the S curves or affect the Marolt property. It would require no new taxes, and is supported by a broad coalition of locals and businesses. Please vote yes on Ballot Measure 1 on May 8.Auden SchendlerAspen Skiing Company
