Vote for Arn

Dear Editor:I am writing to express my support for Arn Menconi for re-election as Eagle County commissioner. I have worked with Arn on several issues relating to the Roaring Fork Valley side of Eagle County. As the past president of Blue Lake Homeowners board, I found him a willing commissioner to help resolve issues regarding our PUD, and a strong advocate for the child-care facility at Blue Lake. Also, as a member of the original Tree Farm/Crown Mountain Park public design review team, I appreciate his work on helping to secure funding for fine recreational facilities in El Jebel. Arn supports many of the issues that are important to Roaring Fork Valley side of Eagle County: The midvalley trail system, the Basalt Regional Library, funding for RFTA, protecting Western Slope water by helping defeat Referendum A, and supporting a five-member Eagle County commissioner board for more representation on this side of the county. As a member of the ranching family that recently completed an agricultural easement on part of the Happy Day Ranch in Emma, I am especially supportive of the work Arn has done preserving open space in the county, in particular the large parcel of land in Glenwood Canyon known as the Bair Ranch.Please vote for Arn Nov. 2!David G.
