Aspen Times Staff Report
Aspen, CO Colorado

ASPEN – Restoration work on open space on Smuggler Mountain, flanking Aspen, will take place Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Crews will plant trees, re-seed impacted areas, create some new picnic pads and narrow sections of existing roads to create single-track trails. The work is a joint project of Roaring Fork Outdoor Volunteers, and the city and county Open Space and Trails programs.

RFOV and its partners will provide the tools, materials and leadership for the day’s work, plus dinner at the end of the day. To volunteer, e-mail rfov@sopris.net or call 927-8241.
