Bonnie and Gerald Vold of Long Grove, Ill., are delighted to announce the engagement of their son, Scott Vold, to Lee Ann Reed, daughter of Marcia and Jim Reed.

Scott graduated from Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire, Ill., in 1988, and the University of Iowa in 1992. He has his bachelor of science degree in actuarial science. Scott has lived in Aspen and Snowmass Village over the past 13 years and is the owner of “Cracks & Racks” in the Aspen Business Center.Lee Ann graduated from Smoky Hill High School in Aurora in 1988, and Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, Calif., in 1992, with a degree in exercise physiology. Lee Ann has lived in the Roaring Fork Valley and Snowmass Village for the past 13 years. She is currently employed as a massage therapist privately and at the Snowmass Club.

Scott and Lee Ann were introduced one year ago by two locals, Snowmass Village resident and dentist Karina Redko and professional mountain biker Becca Blay. Although Scott and Lee Ann both moved to the valley in 1992, it wasn’t until 12 years later that fate finally brought them together through mutual friends.The couple plans a fall wedding at the Maroon Bells in Aspen. Following their honeymoon biking through Tuscany, the couple will return to their home in Snowmass Village with their loving dogs Roxy and Tsavo.
