Vivian Foss died in the arms of her loving husband, Owen, and surrounded by her family on Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010. in Saint Paul, Minn.

Vivian and her husband were visitors to Aspen yearly since 1974, when their daughter moved from Minnesota to make Aspen her home. They attended many plays, concerts, festivals, fairs, and enjoyed the outdoors as much as possible. They made many friends in the area during their annual visits. Four weeks prior to Vivian’s passing, she was able to attend her daughter Marilyn’s wedding at the Lyngblomsten Chapel in Saint Paul.

Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Owen Foss; their daughters, Marsha Foss of Saint Paul, Minn., Marilyn Foss and son-in-law Tom Sherwood of Aspen, and their son Greg (Patricia) Foss of Plymouth, Minn. Vivian will also be missed by her grandchildren, Micah and Michele Whetstone, Jessica and Dave Myers, Alex Foss and Parker Foss, and three great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Abram Whetstone and Peter Myers. Her youngest grandson, Peter, entered the world as she exited, and she gracefully passed him on to the loving family that remained.
