Virginia McClure

Virginia C. McClure, of Grand Junction, lost her battle with cancer July 15 at La Villa Grande Care Center. She was 77.

Virginia was born Oct. 9, 1930, in Wichita, Kan., to George and Mildred (Allen) Corzine. She spent her childhood in Denver and graduated from Denver East High School in 1948. She also lived in Glenwood Springs and was a resident of Grand Junction for 10 years. Virginia had been a ski instructor and was a member of the Silky Terrier Club. She also worked as a bookkeeper.

Survivors include a son, William Fredrick McClure (Roxanne) III, of Hood River, Ore.; a daughter, Christi Ann Palazzi (Neil), of Carbondale; and two grandchildren, Matthew McClure and Lindsay McClure, both of Hood River.
