Vandals targeting cars in Aspen’s West End

Vandals have targeted cars parked in Aspen’s West End the past two weekends and police want the public’s help in trying to identify them.

Headlights and taillights on four cars parked in the 400 block of West North Street near the Music Tent were smashed some time during the weekend of March 5 and 6, said Aspen police Officer Ritchie Zah.

Then last weekend, two cars parked in the 700 block of West Bleeker Street — located a few blocks from the other incident — sustained unspecified damage, Zah said. Police declined to release the nature of that damage.

Police don’t know if the two incidents are related, Zah said.

Police are asking anyone who noticed suspicious people or incidents on Saturday or Sunday during the past two weekends in the West End to call the Police Department at 970-920-5400.
