Valleywide support of affordable housing

Dear Editor:Our third annual fundraiser, The Great Match-A Meeting of the Senses, was a smashing success! We have many fine people to thank for so generously stepping up to help us support the operations side of our community-based housing services and programs serving from Aspen to Parachute. Our Diamond Patrons were the folks from Catherine Store Wine & Liquor – Rhonda Black, owner and wine connoisseur, and Roberta Lewis, the wine prospector, picked a great selection of wines, champagne and microbrews to taste. These wines were donated by area distributors, producers and importers who offer these products in the Roaring Fork Valley: Baroness Wines, Baum Wine Imports, Classic Wines, National Distributing Co., Pinnacle Distributing, Southern Wine & Spirits of Colorado, Summit Distributing Co., Synergy Fine Wines, Winebow Inc. and Wine Source of Colorado. Catherine Store Wine & Liquor also picked rare vintages for auction from their extraordinary private collections. The Roaring Fork Club once again hosted our event in its beautiful clubhouse setting overlooking the lower valley. Its staff members were gracious and helpful in making our event run smoothly, and we deeply appreciate this community commitment to nonprofits made by the Roaring Fork Club.A wide assortment of delicious foods complimented the wide assortment of wines. Deepest thanks to Big Mamma’s Kitchen, Catherine Baking Co., Crave Catering, Classic Cakes of Aspen, the Kitchen Fine Catering, the Hickory House, Lisa Jo’s All Things Sweet and Zheng Asian Bistro!
