Vail Pass reopens after avalanche work

VAIL ” Vail Pass has reopened after crews worked one and a half hours doing avalanche control, said Bob Wilson, spokesman for the Colorado Department of Transportation.

Interstate 70 was closed eastbound at mile marker 184, and westbound at mile marker 190 at noon on Monday so avalanche control could be done three miles west of Vail Pass’s summit, he said.
