Vail, Breckenridge ski areas reopening for weekend

Aspen, CO Colorado

VAIL, Colo. – Vail Mountain and Breckenridge Ski Resort are reopening for more skiing and riding Friday through Sunday on part of their terrain.

Both ski resorts held closing day festivities last Sunday, but Vail says it’s had 2 more feet of snow since then, and Breckenridge has had 16 inches. Lift tickets will be $50, or $25 for people with season passes from other resorts. Access is free for Vail Resorts Inc. season pass holders.

Aspen Highlands is also offering a bonus weekend April 27-28 after its previously scheduled closing day this Sunday.

Winter Park is assessing if it will extend the season past its closing day Sunday.

Loveland plans to stay open through May 5, and Arapahoe Basin doesn’t plan to close until June 2.
