Vail bike path closes this week
VAIL – The Vail Pass bike trail will be closed from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday for striping work by the Colorado Department of Transportation.
The west side of the Pass, from East Vail to the summit, will be closed first. When work is done on that stretch, the trail will be closed from the summit to Copper Mountain.
“We’re striping the newly-paved path to enhance safety for bicyclists and pedestrians alike,” said Interim Traffic Operations Engineer Rich Sarchet. “We chose the middle of the week to do this in order to impact the least number of people.”
