Upcoming benefit for The Right Door
Dear Editor:
We want to take this opportunity to publicly express our appreciation for what Brad Osborn’s founding vision for The Right Door has brought to our community. The Right Door has provided a new and innovative approach to our drug and alcohol abuse issues and their related problems. Understandably, there have been community concerns as to the future of The Right Door.
Thankfully, the staff Brad trained is all in place and poised to continue the mission of “connecting people in drug and alcohol crisis with the support they need.” To do this, the board of directors of The Right Door is actively seeking the appropriate, nonprofit, organization with which we can join forces for mutual benefit. From that platform we can continue this essential work.
We are confident that we have a solution that will allow The Right Door to fulfill its mission and we hope to make an announcement soon. We believe that this work must continue for the entire community’s benefit. The board of directors and the staff of The Right Door need and are thankful for the community’s continued support and understanding.
On that note, we would like to announce the dates for the Serenity Scramble hosted by Jaywalker Lodge to benefit The Right Door on Sept. 16, 2011, at River Valley Ranch in Carbondale. Golfers and sponsors are welcome! Register online at http://www.jaywalkergolfopen.com.
