Up in arms over HOV lanes

Several reasons to get rid of the HOV lanes.

1. It creates EPIC traffic jams. Come on commuters, you have to agree!

2. Not everybody pays attentions to the signs. This morning, as I dutifully sat in the left lane, I counted 24 single-passenger cars go by me.

3. It hasn’t changed the number of cars being driven to Aspen. Just see how far back the traffic jam goes.

4. I bet RFTA hasn’t seen an increase in riders. Enough said.

5. It is a total CASH COW for the state police. It costs $66 with no points against your license to be in the wrong lane. Sometimes when the line gets really long it almost seems worth the gamble with the $66. If nobody paid attention to the signs how many could the police catch at one time?

6. It is a good idea, but not here. We don’t have any other good options. Go over the pass in a snowstorm or after a rainstorm ” not! Lower River Road ” not!

I would like to know who to contact to have the HOV lanes removed, wouldn’t you?

Let’s get rid of the HOV lanes NOW!
