Unsung heroes

Dear Editor:

Summer is over and I, for one, spent it on a new knee. With the incredible help of the PT staff at the hospital I was able to work my job, progress with the new bionic appendage and smell the flowers while watching the World Cup and getting in a lot of reading.

Great summer in no small way because of Katie, Lucy, Stephanie and Matt in physical therapy. They are the unsung bunch with the big job of rehabilitation and they do it so well. Those of you thinking about joint replacement need not travel; we have a first-class group between Dr. Pevny and the AVH rehab staff. I cannot thank them enough.
