Unnecessary punishment
Dear Editor:What will be the unintended consequences of City Council’s rush to judgment at the “emergency” meeting to absolve local homeowners of more of their property rights? It appears to be the goal of council and staff to punish longtime working locals for having the audacity and independence to live in a free-market home.I only hope that the Assessor’s Office will take into account the large drop in property value of the approximately 65 older homes that only had lot value to start with, and now won’t even have that!Lyn O’BrianAspen
